Oddly enough, in all my years as a working press photographer, i’ve never been sent to cover a motocross event, and have never photographed one before. Despite the mud and cold and rain, i really enjoyed it. Hopefully get out to cover some more in the future!

Munich Air Disaster

56 years today, since the crash at Munich airport that claimed the lives of  23 passengers.  This is a file picture I shot back in 2007, of Manchester United legends, Harry Gregg and Albert Scanlon (who has since passed away), reflecting on a photograph taken during their 1958 5-4 win over Arsenal. The game was the last that the Manchester United side would play in England, before the February 6th air crash in Munich that claimed 23 lives, including 8 of their team mates.

Red Phone Box

This is one of the few working public red telephone boxes near home. It looked striking in the light today on my way past, so thought id capture a photo for posterity.  I often wonder how long we will have these. I know I never use them, and its a shame because like anything public, use it or lose it!

Dunluce Castle

Magheracross, Portrush

View along the cliffs and Curran Strand, from the car park at Magheracross, between Portrush and Dunluce Castle on the  North Antrim coast.  Such a beautiful spot, and always worthwhile stopping for the view, if not a photo.
